Hi, I’m Mariah.

My first big money goal was to pay off my debt.

When I decided to pay off my debt, it was because I believed this was my key to financial freedom.

I paid off all 60k of my debt. In two years.

After about $40,000 of my $60,000 of debt was paid, I still found myself spending countless mornings, afternoons and nights checking my banking app, looking at my spreadsheets, spending lots of time budgeting, and trying to restrict myself…. All to just throw the plan out the window and feel like sh*t.

Then I finally realized.. My debt was never the problem.

The way I was thinking about my money and approaching my money WAS. I spent so much time and focus NEEDING to pay off my debt to “feel free”. It only made me feel more restricted and unsuccessful. I finally realized, I just wanted to feel IN CONTROL of my money and free to enjoy my life.

Financial Freedom is about feeling confident and in control of your money.

Being free to enjoy spending money (buying coffee’s, taking trips, eating out with friends and family), having a solid, simple plan for your money and being confident in the financial decisions you make - and reaching your goals.

This was the MOMENT I realized this, everything changed with my money. As I finished paying off my debt and continued to make more money. I slowly started enjoying it more. I learned how to make confident decisions and have my own back.

I started to work on my relationship with money.. and my relationship with myself. Meaning, the way that I thought about money that I felt about money and the things that I did with my money.

Overtime, friends, family, and even my employees were coming to me for help with their mindset, their money, goals, and with their relationship with money. Which led to the opening of my coaching business. Over the years of working with clients and helping them with their relationship with money and helping them to hit their money goals, I created my signature coaching program, More Than Money.

Inside of 1 on 1 coaching, you become confident and in control of your money so that you hit your next money goal in 6 months or less WHILE enjoying your life now.

My money journey.

$100,000 was my BIG mind blowing goal.

I saved $127,000 by 26, here is a bit on HOW and what I learned in the process.

My money mindset. (Or what my clients and I now like to call, freedom mindset.)

I started understanding why I was sometimes REACTIVE with my money, why I felt guilty or uncertain.

I gained awareness. And once I had awareness I instantly had more control.

Anytime I’d notice the guilt or stress with money, I now had the awareness, therefore, the power to be curious because I was AWARE of it.

And then I could question my own thoughts and feelings and not make myself wrong automatically.

When I had an all or nothing mindset, pay off debt as quickly as possible, don't buy anything - I felt awful.

I felt like I was trapped, restricted, not enjoying life the way I wanted to.

I wanted to do things differently, save money and keep my debt paid off with ease and flow.

And as my awareness grew, I noticed I didn't believe my thoughts in the same way.

For example, where I used to believe “It’s irresponsible to spend $10 on a coffee” (i’d buy it anyway and feel terrible all day)..

Now I KNOW, I intentionally decide.

I WANT the $10 coffee.

I like my reasons AND I know clearly and factually I CAN STILL hit my money goals.

If you are like I was, I would budget, yet I still didn't really KNOW and understand my numbers FULLY.

I just decided ahead of time I was wrong when I purchased anything that wasn’t debt pay off, savings, or necessity.

THIS IS NOT the point of life or money.

The point of working is to provide for yourself, yes AND to enjoy your life, your family and yourself.

My family

In September 2020, Dayne and I got married.

We had the whole “replan and reschedule everything” because of the pandemic, but the wedding still turned out great and we got married anyway!

We added the sweetest little puppy to our family in 2022, her name is Risotto. She is a Lagotto Romagnolo (italian water dog).

(risotto - the food, is our favorite and we are Italian, on our honeymoon we took a cooking class and learned how to make risotto.)

When we decided to get a puppy, it was literally over dinner eating risotto - so the name stuck.

Dayne has been a huge support from the beginning, from when I was paying off debt, to saving money together and in my adventure of leaving my career and pursing my own business. He is my biggest supporter.
